In the journey between childhood and adulthood, lots of things can change. Puberty can alter things wildly. Some of the cutest kids turn out to be a little, well, odd looking when they’re fully grown up, don’t they? And that applies to normal schmoes like you and us as well famous folk. And, of course, the reverse can be true too. Ugly ducklings can turn into beautiful swans. What we’ve got for you here are the exceptions that prove the rule. The fifteen famous types you’re about to see all have three things in common: They used to be famous, they’re still famous and they’re still as perfectly formed as ever. We had crushes on them when we were kids. Now they’re all grown up? We’re still crushing on them!

Logan Lerman – As a 12 year-old, Logan starred in the WB TV Network show Jack & Bobby (he was Bobby). Interesting fact – this little-seen series also had Bradley Cooper in it… Yeah. Anyway, Double L was cute back then, but as an adult he’s turned out to be a real hunk. You might remember him as a teen in the Percy Jackson flicks, but it’s his turns recently in films like Noah and Fury that really demonstrate his appeal.

Anna Chlumsky – Ah, the film that made us all ball our eyes out; My Girl. Not to give in any spoilers, but that film cemented a hatred of bees which has lasted until adulthood. And the main lead, Vada, played by Anna Chlumsky in her film debut, was just the cutest. We could all tell then that she’d turn out to be a gorgeous as an adult, and we were right. Chlumsky had a brief break from acting, but we’re pleased to say that she’s back on our screens now.

Ryan Gosling – Nowadays, we all know Ryan Gosling as the serious actor and director who’s a Hollywood heavyweight. Men want to be him, women want to be with him – all that kind of stuff. Girls think of his romantic roles like The Notebook, guys think of Drive and Only God Forgives. But we think of him as both and then remember that he was a former star of Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club. Cute then – a dish now.

Tiffani Amber Thiessen – It wasn’t just Zack Morris that had a huge crush on Kelly Kapowski growing up – we all did! Tiffani Amber Thiessen was about as gorgeous as it was possible to be back in her Saved By The Bell days. And she’s still gorgeous now. She was in her Beverly Hills 90210 days too. In fact, we reckon that she’ll never not be gorgeous. We look forward to seeing her as a grandma. We reckon she’ll still be smoking hot in a rocking chair. You mark our words…

Zac Efron – Like Ryan Gosling, Hollywood big hitter Zac Efron started his career working for Disney. And also like Ryan Gosling, he’s now getting parts in major movies and still looking great. Zac’s sultry, smoldering good looks and eyebrows should see him through his career even if it goes wrong. Back when the High School Musical movies were all the rage, all the girls loved Zac Efron. And hey – they still do. We mean, have you seen him in The Paperboy?! Or his new movie We Are Your Friends? That is one handsome dude…

Marley Shelton – Any young lad that watched The Sandlot back in 1993 will remember Marley Shelton. She was the young actress who played Wendy Peffercorn. The lifeguard of a thousand dreams, she’s still a bit of a knockout, appearing in popcorn fodder like Pleasantville, Never Been Kissed and Sugar & Spice. Oh, and Mad Men. Like Tiffani Amber Thiessen, she’s 41 now. But you’d never know it to look at her. She’s still super hot. Well done, Marley.

Joseph Gordon Levitt – We used to absolutely LOVE Third Rock From The Sun. The story of a bunch of humanoid aliens who attempt to assimilate with human beings and learn from us, a young Joseph Gordon Levitt played the son. And just look at his long hair! How cute. Nowadays, of course, we’re used to him as the hunky star of such blockbusters as The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and Looper. Still cute, but now? Masculine and dishy.

Kirsten Dunst – You know Kirsten Dunst, don’t you? She’s the actress in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman movies. She’s also in movies like Marie Antoinette. But did you know that she was the little vampire girl who hung around with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in Interview With a Vampire? That’s right – that little curly-haired Claudia girl who was so pale and fragile – yet kinda cute. Now she’s the glamorous starlet of movies like Melancholia. And you guessed it – she’s still looking great!

Leonardo DiCaprio – Leo’s been on our screens almost since birth. He had a few roles as a little ‘un on TV but it wasn’t until 1991 that we saw him in a movie. Specifically the all-time classic Critters 3. This Boy’s Life followed and showed us a cute kid that was almost guaranteed to be a handsome older dude. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? and Romeo & Juliet built him up a female fanbase. Then he went stratospheric with Titanic and all the awesome films he’s been in since then. A heart-throb the whole time.

Alyssa Milano – Milano played Samantha in Who’s The Boss alongside Tony ‘Tiny Dancer’ Danza. She was just eleven years old when she got her big break. A cute kid, it wasn’t until we saw her in things like Melrose Place and Charmed that we truly started to notice how beautiful she’d turned out. She’s still looking fine nowadays. If you’ve seen the ABC drama Mistresses, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about. And – she’s our favorite actress named after a type of salami.

Christine Lakin – Known for her role as Alicia ‘Al Lambert on the ’90s CBS sitcom ‘Step by Step’. She played the daughter who was, admittedly, a little on the tomboyish side. Maybe it was that tomboy thing that we liked back then as kids. We could imagine playing ball with her then sneaking a kiss! Anyway, she’s all grown up now and looking hotter than ever before. Weird fact: She played ‘The Nottie’ in the DREADFUL Paris Hilton ‘comedy’, The Hottie & The Nottie. Naturally, she needed a lot of make-up to not look hot(tie).

Christina Ricci – Ricci was cast as Wednesday Addams in the film version of The Addams Family because of her look. Huge glassy eyes, large forehead, downturned mouth. With the jet black plaits and pale make-up, she supposed to look terrifying. And she kind of did. But she also kind of looked hot. It wasn’t just us, was it? She was cute! Well, we were proved wrong a few years later when when saw how Christina turned out. Damn.

Natalie Portman – Luc Besson’s French/American action thriller Leon: The Professional is a great movie. A lot of people’s favorite flicks. And while Jean Reno is technically the star, it was Natalie Portman as Matilda that stole the show. She was barely 13 years old when she bagged the role of Matilda, but Portman really showed off her acting chops. A pretty teenager, she bloomed into a remarkably beautiful woman. In fact – we’re going to go out on a limb here – she’s perfect looking.

Katie Holmes – From 1998 to 2003, Katie Holmes was on our TVs playing the cute little Joey Potter on the mega teen hit show Dawson’s Creek. We loved her then and we love her now. Even if she did spend a couple of years married to Tom Cruise. That out of the way, she’s back on our screens again now in the Showtime crime drama series Ray Donovan, playing the alluring Paige. Cute then, cute now. That’s why she’s on the list!

Jessica Biel – In 2005, Esquire magazine voted Biel as The Sexiest Woman In The Word’. And the past ten years have done nothing to dim her stunning good looks. Justin Timberlake certainly doesn’t think so anyway. He’s married her and had a kid with her. But did you know that she won the ‘Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Supporting Young Actress’ for her role in Ulee’s Gold when she was 15. No? Well, now you do. Knowledge is power.
